Iga Swiatek vs Jessica Pegula Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA US Open

In four tournaments leading up to this US Open, Iga Swiatek has failed to make a semi-final. The top seed faces the eighth seeded Jessica Pegula with both looking to make the last four of the US Open for the first time. Either Karolina Pliskova or Aryna Sabalenka await the winners of this quarter final. Swiatek is clear at the top of the rankings so has no worries on that score. Her form is a bit of a worry though and she needs to greatly improve on her fourth round performance. Swiatek had to come from a set down to beat Julie Niemier but her opponent made 45 unforced errors and lost the final set 6-0. The world number one made 31 unforced errors of her own and can't afford to do that against Jessica Pegula.

The American is third in terms of ranking points earned this year. In the live WTA rankings Pegula is in fifth place and can get into the top four if making it to her first US Open final. Despite making it to her third Grand Slam quarter final of the year, Pegula hasn't performed well in previous US Open tournaments. Four of the last five years have seen her lose in the first round. That's all changed this year as she builds on a highly consistent 2022. Her win over Petra Kvitova in the fourth round was an impressive one. Pegula is 2-1 down in previous meetings with Swiatek but has beaten her on an American hard court. Take a chance on her capitalising on the inconsistent form of Swiatek to win this match.
