Iga Swiatek vs Emma Raducanu Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Indian Wells

It's been a big week for Emma Raducanu but it looks like the end of the road for her in the Indian Wells last 16. The unseeded British player takes on the top seed and world number one Iga Swiatek. Whoever wins this match will face either fifth seeded Caroline Garcia or unseeded Sorana Cirstea in the quarter finals. Raducanu came into this tournament with worries over a wrist injury. There always seems to be some problem lingering just around the corner for the former US Open champion. None have appeared so far and Raducanu has had three good wins at Indian Wells this year. The last two rounds have seen her beat seeded players Magda Linette (20th) and Beatriz Haddad Maia (13th). Raducanu began this tournament ranked 77th but is up to 72nd in the live list. A win over Swiatek would take her up to 60th in the rankings. This is her fourth match of this tournament and this is only the second time the 20-year-old has won three matches in an event since her 2021 US Open win.  Only one previous match has been played against Swiatek. That was last year in Stuttgart with the Pole winning 6-4 6-4.

Iga Swiatek is the defending champion and has already won one title this year. That was in Doha with only five games conceded in her three matches that week. The following week saw her get to the final in Dubai but lost to Barbora Krejcikova in straight sets. Swiatek remains clear at the top of the world rankings and is third in the Live WTA Race. Reaching the semi-finals could take her into second above Elena Rybakina. The world number one has had wins over Claire Liu (just the one game lost) and then 32nd seeded Bianca Andreescu in round three though a tie-break was needed to win the second set.
