Iga Swiatek vs Coco Gauff Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Dubai Tennis Championships

Familiar foes Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff will face off for the sixth time in their professional careers when they meet in the WTA Dubai semi-finals on Friday, with the winner set to take on the winner of the match between Jessica Pegula and Barbora Krejcikova in the final on Sunday. Swiatek was the beneficiary of a walkover in the previous round due to her opponent withdrawing from the tournament. However, many would argue that she didn’t need the helping hand on account of her excellent form in this tournament so far. Swiatek came into this tournament after successfully defending her title in Doha last week, taking down the likes of D Collins, V Kudermetova, and J Pegula. En route to the semis here in Dubai, she’s already crushed Leylah Fernandez (6-1, 6-1) and then put Luidmilla Samsonova to the sword (6-1. 6-0). Swiatek is playing some of the best tennis of her life and will have her sights firmly set on back-to-back titles with another win here.

Like Swiatek, Coco Gauff also had a walkover in this tournament from Elena Rybakina but put on good displays on either side of that, beating Aliaksandra Sasnovich (6-0, 6-4) in her tournament opener and Madison Keys (6-2, 7-5) in the last round. After finishing 2022 very poorly, Gauff seems to have worked out the kinks in her game this year and showed that in Auckland, winning the tournament without conceding a single set. Gauff will be looking for revenge after losing to this opponent in the final at Roland-Garros last year (6-1, 6-3), but she will have to play out of her skin if she wants to come out on top in this one.
