Iga Swiatek vs Coco Gauff Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA French Open

Iga Swiatek is the top seed in the French Open women's singles and looking to win her sixth successive title this year. The world number one faces the challenge of 18th seeded Coco Gauff in this final. A win for Swiatek will give her the title at Roland Garros for the second time in three years. Swiatek has now won 34 matches in a row and dropped just one set on her way to this final. That was in the last 16 when losing the first set on a tie-break to unseeded Zheng Qinwen. Since then, the 20-year-old has played six sets and lost just ten games. Her semi-final saw Swiatek take on the 20th seeded Daria Kasatkina and she outclassed her opponent with a 6-2 6-1 win. It's looking like only an injury for Swiatek might prevent her winning the Roland Garros title. The Pole has played Gauff on two previous occasions and won both the matches. The first was last year on clay in Rome and then this year a hard court match in Miami. Both wins were achieved without the loss of a set.

Coco Gauff began this tournament ranked 23rd in the world. Her run to the first Grand Slam final of her career has her up to a career high 13th. A surprise win over Swiatek will see her climb up to eighth place. Gauff has only ever got to the quarter final of a Grand Slam at Roland Garros. This year has seen her go two rounds further than last year. It hadn't been the best of clay court seasons for Gauff prior to Roland Garros with no runs past the last 16. That's all changed in this tournament though with successes over Rebecca Marino, Alison Van Uytcanck, Kaia Kanepi and 31st seeded Elise Merten before a win over the unseeded Stephens in the quarter finals. The last four saw her take on another unseeded player, Martina Trevison. Gauff won that in straight sets but now she has the toughest task in tennis at present, beating Iga Swiatek. Go for the number one seed to win this in straight sets.
