Iga Swiatek vs Coco Gauff Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Cincinnati Open

Top seeded Iga Swiatek is two wins away from her fifth WTA title of the year. First though, to reach the Western & Southern Open final she has to defeat the seventh seeded Coco Gauff. Waiting in the final will be either second seed Aryna Sabalenka or unseeded Karolina Muchova. Swiatek hasn't been as dominant as in 2022 but has still enjoyed great success. Of her four titles won this year, one was the French Open and two have been on an outdoor hard court which is the surface for this tournament. Her most recent title was the Warsaw Open where the world number one didn't drop a set in her five matches. Last week in Montreal she lost to Jessica Pegula in the last four. Only two of her last 17 matches on hard courts have been lost. This tournament has seen her lose one set. That was in the third round when she had to come from behind to get past Zheng Qinwen. Her quarter final saw Swiatek defeat Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova in straight sets. This is the first time that Swiatek has made it past round three in Cincinnati 

Coco Gauff doesn't just have to beat Iga Swiatek for the first time to reach the final. In seven previous meetings (all in the past two years), the 19-year-old has never even won a set off the Pole. Four of the seven matches were played on a hard court. Gauff has been in top form in the past few weeks, winning the title in Washington. Last week in Montreal, she also lost to Jessica Pegula when they met in the quarter finals. Now the American is in the last four in Cincinnati. Only 13 games have been dropped in her three straight sets win but Swiatek is the first seed she's faced. Her last two opponents have both been qualifiers so it's not been a tough draw for her. Gauff is improving but we go for Swiatek to get the win here.
