Iga Swiatek vs Coco Gauff Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA French Open

Iga Swiatek sailed past Lesia Tsurenko to set up a quarterfinal meeting with sixth seed Cori Gauff at the French Open. This Wednesday clash will be a repeat of last year’s final, when top seed Swiatek defeated Gauff in straight sets. That was her second title here and she will be confident of sailing through. The two players have met six times so far and Swiatek has reigned supreme every time. Swiatek has again dominated the opposition in Paris and so far is yet to drop a set. She has played four matches and progressed to this round after Lesia Tsurenko retired during the first set of their fourth-round battle. The win was her 32nd of the season and 16th on clay. The current world number two has played four finals so far this season, winning two titles with one coming on clay.

Cori Gauff has also been in terrific form in 2023 and has one title in the bag so far. The American has won 22 of the 30 matches she has played with seven of her victories coming on clay. This should have her confident of getting one over Swiatek and stopping this one-sided affair. Two of Gauff’s four wins in Paris have come via straight sets. The most recent was against Anna Karolina Schmiedlova. Despite the win, Gauff has dropped to seventh in the live ranking after losing 870 ranking points. The winner from this match will play either Beatriz Haddad Maia or Ons Jabeur in the semifinals.
