Caroline Wozniacki continues with her impressive return to Indian Wells and will play top seed Iga Swiatek next. They will battle in the quarterfinals with the winner playing either Anastasia Potapova or Marta Kostyuk for a place in the final. Iga Swiatek has dominated her way to this round and is a clear favourite to progress. The world number one, who has so far compiled a 17-2 record for the season, has won all her rounds in straight sets. She hasn’t lost more than four games in any of the three matches she has played. The Pole defeated Yulia Putintseva by the loss of three games in the last round. This was her 10th straight sets win in succession. Swiatek, who won the title in Doha last month, is a former Indian Wells champion. She triumphed here in 2022 and was a semifinalist last season. Swiatek defeated Wozniacki in their only previous encounter back in 2019 in Toronto.

Caroline Wozniacki is having quite the return to this event after a five-year hiatus. A former Indian Wells champion and two-time finalist, the former world number one has won three of four matches in straight sets. Since making a U-turn from retiring last season, this is the most consecutive matches the Dane has won. She defeated former Indian Wells finalist Angelique Kerber by the loss of six games in the last round. Wozniacki started her campaign here ranked outside the WTA top 200. But her run to this round has propelled her up to 129th place in the live ranking. The 33-year-old has now won five of the eight matches she has contested this season.
