Iga Swiatek vs Aryna Sabalenka Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Qatar Open

Iga Swiatek is on course to win her ninth title of the year. The Pole takes on Aryna Sabalenka in the WTA Tour Finals, with the winner facing either Maria Sakkari or Caroline Garcia in the final. It's been a dominant year for the world number one. The 21-year-old has more than double the number of ranking points than any other player and nearly 7000 more in terms of points earned this year. Swiatek is attempting to reach a fourth successive final. Of the previous three, two were won (including the US Open) and the other saw her beaten by Barbora Krejcikova in Ostrava. This week has seen her in top form again. In her round-robin group, the world number one had wins over Daria Kasatkiina, Caroline Garcia and Coco Gauff for the loss of only 13 games.

Aryna Sabalenka began this tournament but a win over Swiatek will take her into the top five. Sabalenka is yet to win a tournament in 2022 and this is her last chance to do so. Only two finals have been reached and the last of those was in June when getting to the title decider of a grass court tournament in the Netherlands. This is the first time she's made it to the semi-finals of the Tour Finals. Wins have come against Ons Jabeur and Jessica Pegula but Sabalenka suffered a straight sets defeat to Maria Sakkari.  Sabalenks has met Swiatek on five previous occasions, the first being a win over the Pole in this tournament last year. However, the other four meetings all took place this year and were won by Swiatek  Only 12 games were lost by Swiatek in the first three, before a three-set win in the US Open semi-finals. Swiatek looks in her usual determined form this week and can be backed to win this in straight sets.
