Iga Swiatek vs Anett Kontaveit Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Finals

Anett Kontaveit bids to win her sixth title since last August. The fourth seed takes on Iga Swiatek (seeded seventh) in the final of the Qatar Total Open in Doha. Kontaveit has already won the St Petersburg Ladies' Trophy this year and is up to fourth in the live rankings. Beating Iga Swiatek in Saturday's final will see her move up to third position. This week has seen her beat Ana Konjuh, 16th seeded Elise Mertens (in three sets), Ons Jabeur and in-form Jelena Ostapenko. Just the one set has been lost this week, the middle set against Mertens in which she didn't win a game. Kontaveit was impressive when beating Ostapenko in her semi-final and a repeat of that kind of form should see her win another title. Four previous meetings with Swiatek have seen both players win twice. The most recent match was at the US Open last year, when Swiatek won in three sets.

The Polish player is ranked eighth in the world but up to sixth in the live rankings. A win here will take her back up to a career high fourth and above Kontaveit. Swiatek is in her first final since winning the Rome Masters last year. Since then, she's been beaten in three semi-finals including in Adelaide and the Australian Open this year. In Doha this week, the 20-year-old has had wins over Viktorija Golubis (in three sets), Daria Kasatkina, top seed Aryna Sabalenka (still not playing at her best this year) and in the last four, Maria Sakkari in straight sets.
