However, thanks to the good work done by Jeremy Gordon and Dillon Heylinger with the ball, they were able to contain the Irish to 125/7, earning a 12-run victory and giving themselves an outside chance of reaching the Super Eight. Prior to the last match, Canada had only beaten associate nations in T20Is and had only won one of their last eight matches. Indeed, they are massive underdogs in this match but the pressure is firmly on their opponents here that could turn out to be a telling factor.
