New Zealand vs Pakistan Predictions & Betting tips - ICC Men's Cricket World Cup
by Sridhar |
In an intriguing battle in the ODI World Cup, New Zealand and Pakistan clash this weekend, in what could be a potential top-four decider. This match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday will see New Zealand on eight points and Pakistan on six points from seven matches each. The Kiwis are in danger of losing their top-four spot after three straight losses. The start they have had to the tournament with four straight wins is now looking a long way back for the Kiwis. Injuries to Kane Williamson, Mark Chapman, James Neesham, Matt Henry, and Lockie Ferguson has thrown their preparations into disarray. They will still be dependant on Rachin Ravindra (415 runs) to continue his impressive form as the Kiwis look for a way to halt their losing streak.
Pakistan kept their semi-final hopes alive with a comprehensive win over Bangladesh. That has eased some nerves after four straight defeats to India, Australia, Afghanistan, and South Africa have threatened to kill their chances. Babar Azam’s team still needs to do a lot of work in staying alive in the tournament, and will have to start finding their best individual form. Mohammad Rizwan and Abdullah Shafique have been their best batters so far, each aggregating 300 runs or more. Bowling has been all about Shaheen Shah Afridi, who has 16 wickets in this tournament. All eyes will be on their faltering spinners, who have struggled for impact and wickets.
