India play host to Bangladesh in their fourth match of the World Cup trying to make it four wins out of four. This is the 17th match of the tournament and will be played at the MCA Stadium in Pune on October 19, Thursday. India have six points from their three matches while Bangladesh have two from their three games and are fourth from the bottom. India won their three games of the tournament so far, defeating Australia by six wickets, Afghanistan by eight wickets and Pakistan by seven wickets. The strength of India’s performances is from their batters with the top-order doing the job consistently. Rohit Sharma has a hundred and fifty in the tournament, while Virat Kohli has added his worth with two fifty-plus scores. India mastered the bowling performances too, with Jasprit Bumrah leading the show with eight wickets and an economy rate of 3.44.

Bangladesh started the World Cup with a six-wicket win over Afghanistan but things fell apart since then. They were beaten by England by 137 runs and then by New Zealand by eight wickets. The Tigers are struggling to get it right at the top of the order as their openers haven’t really kicked on. Only Mushfiqur Rahim with two fifty-plus scores in the tournament has been a saving grace. Captain Shakib Al Hasan played well in their last match, but got injured and is a doubt for this match. They could bank their performances on all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who seems to love turning up against India.
