India - Pakistan Predictions & Betting tips - ICC Men's Cricket World Cup

Match 12 of 48 in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup will see India taking on cricketing rivals Pakistan on Saturday. The hosts are second in the standings, while the visitors are third. They are separated only on net run rate. This rivalry dates back to 1957, and over the 134 ODI matches between these sides, India have won 56 while Pakistan have won 73, and five games ended level. India have made a perfect start to the 2023 CWC. They beat Australia in their first match of the competition with a spectacular fourth-wicket partnership by Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. Kohli followed that up with another solid knock of 55 in 56 balls against Afghanistan, while Rohit Sharma top-scored with 131 in just 84 balls. India beat Afghanistan by a whopping eight wickets and with 15 overs to spare. Jasprit Bumrah has been the main contributor with the ball, taking six wickets in his first two games. The paceman is second in the leading wicket-taker standings. India have won five of their last six ODIs, which included winning the Asia Cup final over Sri Lanka last month. The Men in Blue are in fine form at the moment and are the clear favourites in this match.
Meanwhile, Pakistan never come into World Cup tournaments as the favourites but always find a way to go deep into the competition. They look set to do the same this year, having won both their matches so far in fairly convincing fashion. While their first-match victory over the Netherlands was somewhat expected, Tuesday’s win over Sri Lanka will see them come into this match brimming with confidence. Pakistan pulled off a World Cup record-breaking run chase against the Lions, scoring 345 in 48.2 overs. Mohammad Rizwan and Abdullah Shafique were incredible, scoring 131 not out and 113, respectively, recording a 176-run third-wicket partnership. Rizwan is the top scorer in the competition after the first two matches. Hasan Ali did the majority of the damage with ball in hand, claiming four wickets for 71. He is now fourth in the leading wicket-taker standings. Notably, while Pakistan do hold the advantage in the overall head-to-head record, they have never beaten India at the ODI World Cup in seven previous attempts.

Our India - Pakistan - ICC Men's Cricket World Cup prediction
India has an unbeaten 7-0 record against Pakistan in ODI World Cup matches and have maintained a winning streak in the last five encounters. Despite Pakistan entering the game with newfound confidence, India holds a slight advantage as the home team. The Narendra Modi Stadium is also a spin-friendly wicket, and the hosts' bowling attack is arguably a little more potent than their opponents. It’s never a straightforward call when these two meet, but we’re siding with the hosts to claim the win. Our India vs Pakistan prediction: India to win the match.
