Hubert Hurkacz vs Alexander Zverev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Halle Open

Fifth seed Hubert Hurkacz has made it to the Halle Open semi-finals without dropping a set. He takes on the second seed Alexander Zverev for a place in Sunday’s final. The Pole was ranked eighth in the latest published ranking list. He’s risen a place to seventh as a result of his performances in this grass court tournament but can’t get any higher even if winning the title. In the Live ATP Race, he’s moved up to tenth. The Halle Open is his first grass court tournament of 2024 and it’s certainly gone well for him. Two years ago he won this tournament and is a strong contender again in 2024. Wins have been achieved over Flavio Cobolli, James Duckworth and Marcos Giron. All his opponents have been unseeded and a tie-break has been played in each of his victories.

Alexander Zverev has played Hurkacz three times in the past and won all of them. This is their first match on grass and of the three matches played, one was in 2019 and the other in 2021. The most recent one was in this year's United Cup final with Zverev winning in three sets and two tie-breaks being played. Zverev is the world number four but second in the Live ATP Race. This is the second successive year in whiich the German has reached the last four of this grass court tournament. So far this week, he's had wins over Oscar Otte, Lorenzo Sonego and Arthur Fils. Against both Otte and Fils he had to come from a set down to get the victory. He's also played a tie-break in each of his three matches this week. We go for Zverev to win this match and with over 21.5 games being played in the match.
