Hugo Dellien vs Christian Garin Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Hamburg Open

QualifIer Cristian Garin is up against Hugo Dellien in the clay court Hamburg European Open first round. The winner will have a tough task in round two with top seed Casper Ruud or Sebastian Baez the scheduled opponents. Garin started this tournament ranked 120th and this is his fifth match against Dellien. All five have been on clay with Garin 3-1 ahead. The first four matches were all at lower levels or in qualifying rounds and played between 2015 and 2018. Their only APT Tour main draw match was in Houston earlier this year with Garin winning convincingly 6-3 6-0. Garin had to win two matches to make it to this main draw. He had problems in his final qualifier needing to come from beind to beat Kimmer Coppejans to get the win. He's had a busy clay court season and played several tournaments in South America before heading to the USA and Europe. Garin got to the last eight in Houston and has had some notable wins on clay this year. Victories have come against Alexander Bublik, Dominic Thiem, Lorenzo Sonego and Tommy Paul. 

Hugo Dellien qualified for the main draw via a protected ranking. He's currently 164th but was 100 places higher than that last August. Dellien didn't play for the last five months of last year and had a successful time on the South American clay court tour. He reached the last four of a Challenger Tour event held in Concepcion and another semi-final followed in the ATP Tour Cordoba tournament. The last eight was made in Rio and then he won a Challenger Tour title in Santiago but his form has dipped since then. It was the match played after that in Houston when he only won three games against Garin. He lost eight out of nine matches before winning two to make it into the main draw in Sweden last week but both were against players ranked outside the top 130. We go for Garin to get the win here.
