Hubert Hurkacz vs Jannik Sinner Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Dubai Open

Jannik Sinner is the fourth seed for the Dubai Tennis Championships. He takes on the fifth seeded Hubert Hurkacz in the quarter finals. The winner of this match faces either second seeded Andrey Rublev or Mackenzie McDonald in the last four. Sinner is the world number ten and would need to win this tournament to climb above Felix Auger-Aliassime into ninth. The Italian also reached the last eight in Dubai last year, losing to Aslan Karatsev. Sinner is in only his third tournament of the year. He won all three of his matches in the ATP Cup but that wasn't enough to get Italy into the semi-finals. His only other tournament before this week was the Australian Open, where he lost in the quarter finals to Stefanos Tsitsipas. After a break, he's back on court and this week has recorded wins over Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina (after losing the first set) and then Andy Murray in straight sets. He's had two previous matches against Hurkacz, both last year. Sinner lost in the Miami Masters final but then got a win in the ATP Tour Finals, losing only four games.

Hubert Hurkacz is just one place lower than Sinner in the world rankings. He's dropped two places so far this year but can go above Sinner if winning this quarter final. Hurkacz also won three matches at the ATP Cup but then lost to Roberto Bautista Agut as Poland lost to Spain. In the Australian Open, Hurkacz lost in the second round to Adrian Mannarino, ranked 64th at the time. His only other tournament this year saw him beaten by Lorenzo Musetti (ranked 63rd at the time) in round two. This week, Hurkacz has beaten Andrey Bublik and lucky loser Alex Molcan, losing only nine games in those two matches. This is a big step up and Sinner looks in the better form, so back him to get the win.
