Hubert Hurkacz vs Daniil Medvedev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Wimbledon Championships

This week could end with Daniil Medvedev as the new world number one. He has a tough set of games to play and if beating Hubert Hurkacz, he has the winner of the Roger Federer v Lorenzo Sonego match to face in the last eight. Medvedev is the second seed at Wimbledon this year despite the fact that before this tournament, he'd never made it past the third round. The 25-year-old did make a bit of personal history this year. He won the title in Mallorca, the first grass court win of his career. This tournament began with a four set win over Jan-Lennard Struff, who had beaten him on grass at Halle this year. Wins then came against Carlos Alvarez and Marin Cilic. His Wimbledon looked over as he went two sets down to the former finalist but then won the next three sets for the loss of only eight games.

Hubert Hurkacz won the  Delray Beach Open and Miami Masters earlier this year. His win in Miami showed what a danger he can be with victories over Andrey Rublev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Denis Shapovalov, Milos Raonic and in the final, Jannik Sinner. He's up to 16th in the live rankings and can climb to 13th if knocking out Medvedev. To illustrate what a good year he has had, Hurkacz is in the top ten in the ATP Race, so may well get through to the ATP Tour Finals at the end of the year. This is his third time at Wimbledon and before this year hadn't got past the third round. In fact, this is the first time that Hurkacz has got past the third round in a Grand Slam. His two warm-up events didn't go well but this week he's beaten Lorenzo Musetti, Marcos Giron and Alexander Bublik, all being straight sets wins. He has got a chance here but his opponent did well to fight back and defeat Cilic. A bet on over 35.5 games is the tip here with Hurkacz likely to win a set at least.
