Andrey Rublev has been one of the most consistent players on the main ATP Tour circuit this year. He takes on Hubert Hurkacz in the semi-final of the Miami Open. The Russian is seeded fourth for this event, his opponent is 26th. Rublev began 2021 helping Russia win the ATP Cup. He reached the last eight in the Australian Open but has had better results since then. Rublev won the Rotterdam tournament and then made it to the last four in both Doha and Dubai. He is yet to lose a set in this tournament and beat Sebastian Korda in the quarter final. He can move up to seventh in the rankings if winning this title.

Hubert Hurkacz is ranked 37th in the world but the 26th seed for this tournament. Reaching this semi-final will take him into the world's top 30. He has already won one title this year, winning the Delray Beach Open in January.  Hurkacz didn't do well at the Australian Open losing in the first round to Mikael Ymer after taking a two sets to one lead. His next three tournaments saw him knocked out in the last 16. Much better form has been shown this week including a win over sixth seeded Denis Shapovalov, who beat him in Dubai in March.The last two rounds have seen him have to come from a set down to win. Victories came the hard way against Milos Raonic (seeded 12th) and then second seed Stefanos Tsitsipas. This is another tough match for him and with his opponent in such good form, back Rublev to win and make it to another final.
