Hubert Hurkacz vs Adrian Mannarino Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Miami
by Daniel Ngulu in Tennis Predictions
Eighth seed Hubert Hurkacz and world number 69 Adrian Mannarino will on Monday face off in the third round of the Miami Open on an outdoor hard court. Hurkacz is a former champion here (2021) and having won two of the last three matches against Mannarino will fancy his chances of advancing. However, he has regressed in recent outings after playing his best tennis to reach the fourth round in Melbourne and to win in Marseille. This inconsistent form has seen him drop in and out of the world’s top 10 and now prepares to serve off here ranked 11th in the live ranking which is the lowest he has been in the last year. His struggles were further amplified in the second round where he was forced to come back from a set down to defeat lucky loser Athanasios Kokkinakis. The match lasted more than three hours making it the longest three-set match this season. He will however not let this trouble him that much as he has not lost in the third round here since his debut in 2019 and has made at least the semis in his last two tournaments.
Adrian Mannarino is in his 10th appearance at the Miami Open but has only advanced past this round twice with the last time he did so being six years ago. He will however take comfort from the fact that he is playing better in recent weeks compared to Hurkacz with four wins from his last five matches. To build his confidence even further is that his only win in this fixture came in the only match played on a hard court. The veteran Frenchman’s purple patch has seen him move up to 56th in the live ranking. The winner here will progress to the fourth round where a tie with either the qualifier Chris Eubanks or the unseeded Gregoire Barrere awaits.
