Houston Rockets vs Sacramento Kings Prediction & Betting Tips - NBA
by Joseph King | in NBA Predictions
A Western Conference clash in the NBA on Monday sees the Sacramento Kings and the Houston Rockets facing off for the second time in as many days. The 2-3 Kings dropped the first meeting between these two 107-89 on Saturday and will now look to bounce back again playing on the road. The defeat dropped last season’s third-seed in the West to below .500 on the year and was also their second consecutive defeat. Sacramento were one of the NBA’s most consistent road teams in 2022/23 with their 25-16 mark the best record in the Western Conference. They’ve started the 2023/24 season off on the wrong foot in that regard. A 102-101 loss to the Warriors and recent defeat to Houston has them 1-2 as the visitors so far in 2023/24.
The Rockets come into this game with a lot to be encouraged by. They are still a developing team but they brought in some savvy veterans in the offseason with the likes of Fred Van Vleet and Dillon Brooks. They look a much more disciplined team this time around with the two new players settling in nicely. Van Vleet and Brooks are tied for second on the team in scoring at 17.8 points per game each. Van Vleet is pitching in a team high 8.8 assists per game and Brooks is adding a team high 1.6 steals per game. 21-year-old exciting prospect Alperen Sengun looks to be taking a significant leap forward in his game this year and is currently leading the team in scoring at 18.4 points per game while grabbing 8.6 rebounds and dishing out 6.0 assists. Houston come into this matchup having won their last two in a row at home. This is the third of a lengthy six-game home stand.
