The Houston Rockets will look to continue their rapid ascent when they host the rampaging Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night in the NBA. The Rockets (28-14) are third in the West standings while the Cavaliers (36-6) are sitting atop the East with the league’s best record. Here’s our match prediction!

The Rockets have been excelling in their second season under head coach Ime Udoka after finishing .500 last year. They’re currently trailing leaders OKC by seven games and have a slim half-game lead over the third-place Grizzlies.

Houston comes into this contest off the back of a 107-96 home loss to the Pistons, marking their second defeat in their last three outings. It was a disappointing offensive performance for a team that had previously been averaging an impressive 124.7 points per game in their seven prior games.

The Cavaliers will hope to take advantage of their opponents’ slight downturn in form. Cleveland’s .857 winning percentage is the best in the NBA and they come into this matchup riding a two-game winning streak.
