Against all odds, the 2019 World Series between the Houston Astros and the Washington Nationals has gone to a final match. It's 3-3 and for the first time ever in World Series history, the first six games have all produced away victories. Washington went 2-0 up, then lost three at home. They arrived back in Houston needing to win both games to clinch their first ever World Series. Tuesday saw them complete the first half of that task with a 7-2 win over the Astros.
They owed their success to the form of Stephen Strasburg and Anthony Rendon, who was born in Houston. The good news for Washington continues as Max Scherzer will be fit to play in this match after missing out on Sunday. He's been in top form as a pitcher and with Rendon (who scored five runs in match six) in form too, the Nationals can be backed to complete their comeback and win this match and the World Series.
