It was in July that the 2021 PBA Cup began. Finally as we approach Halloween, it's the best-of-seven final between top seeds TNT and third seeded Magnolia Hotshots. It was TNT who finished top of the elimination round, losing only one of their 11 games and securing top position in the seedings for the knock-out stages. Magnolia had an 8-3 record in the elimination round and lost by seven points when taking on TNT. Both teams had few problems in the quarter finals but it wasn't so easy in the semi-finals. TNT beat San Miguel Beermen winning two of the last three games in a 4-3 win by at least 18 points. That makes it 15 wins out of 19 so far in the PBA Cup. Magnolia Hotshots had a slightly easier semi-final beating Meralco Bolts (seeded second) 4-2 and taking their overall record to 14 wins out of 19  This final is likely to be a closely contested affair but it's TNT who seem to be in the better form at present and can go 1-0 up.
