Holger Rune vs Genaro Alberto Olivieri Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP French Open

World number five, Holger Rune, will square off against qualifier Genaro Alberto Olivieri in the third round of Roland Garros on Saturday. The winner here will face off against either Francisco Cerundolo or Taylor Fritz in the next round. Rune came into Roland Garros carrying incredible clay court form this season. The Dane earned his first title of the year in Munich and reached the final in Rome at the start of last month. He now has a record of 14-3 on the dirt. Rune dropped a set to Christopher Eubanks in his opening match but managed to recover quickly enough, powering home in the fourth set. Gael Monfils' incredible opening match against Sebastian Baez came at some cost to the Frenchman as he was forced to withdraw from his match against Rune in the second round. The Dane is already showing up as one of the top three favourites to go all the way here in France, and he will be well-rested and ready to go in this one. 

Meanwhile, qualifier Genaro Alberto Olivieri’s run here at Roland Garros sees him come into this match at his peak ranking. The Argentine came to France ranked 231st in the world and has improved by an incredible 50 places to 171st ahead of this match. Olivieri’s record this season is 17-12 overall and 17-10 on the clay, though the vast majority of his matches were on the Challenger circuit. Following a win over Adrian Andreev in his final qualifier, Olivieri showed his resilience to come back from two sets down to beat Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in his main draw opening match. He then met fellow qualifier Andrea Vavassori and dropped only one set while saving four of five break points and two tiebreaks. However, coming up against one of the best players in the world in this one is a very different type of challenge. The Argentine will likely struggle to stop the dominant Dane.
