Harold Mayot vs Gregoire Barrere Prediction & Betting Tips - Moselle Open

World number 80 Gregoire Barrere will take on qualifier Harold Mayot in the second round of the ATP Moselle Open on Tuesday afternoon. The winner of this match will move on to face either Ugo Humbert or Dominic Thiem in round three. These two have met just once in the past, and Barrere won the match on the indoor court in Pau last year. The Frenchman claimed a very good straight-sets victory over seventh seed Yannick Hanfmann in round one. He is now aiming to get past the second round of an ATP tournament for the first time since the Eastbourne Open back in June. Barrere has bowed out in the second round of his last three tournaments, including in Paris, Antwerp, and the Shanghai Masters. As such, his record this year stands at 35-30 and 8-12 on the hard surface. On the indoor surface, though, he has put up his best numbers of 17-7. The bookies make him the favourite in this match. 

Meanwhile, Mayot is making his first appearance in the main draw of an ATP hard-court tournament this year. He reached this round by beating Peter Gojowczyk in three sets in qualifier one and then overcame Tom Paris in straight sets in the second match. Yosuke Watanuki was his opponent in the first round, and he fought back well after losing the second set to claim the match in three. The 21-year-old has improved his ranking this year from outside the top 250 to 168th at present and looks to be getting better with each match. He has already featured in a Challenger tournament final and semi-final this year, but can he manage a run on the big stage?
