Saracens began the weekend as leaders of the English Premiership. Sunday sees them travel to Harlequins who are seventh after losing two of their opening three matches of the new season. Time for our match prediction.
Three games so far this season have seen Saracens with a 100% record. After Sale Sharks beat Newcastle Falcons on Friday, they had a point lead at the top of the table (with a game in hand) and three clear of Bristol Rugby.
It's been a confident start to the new season for Saracens. They won 35-26 at Gloucester in their opening fixture but then initially ran into some problems at home to Sale Sharks. They trailed by a point at half-time but then scored 33 second-half points to win by 19.
They made it two wins out of three with a 29-14 home win over Exeter Chiefs, all but five of their points being scored in the first half. Saracens finished fourth in the table last season and were then beaten by Northampton Saints in the play-off semi-finals.
Harlequins were sixth in the main season last term. They only just missed out on the play-offs and would have qualified but for losing three of their last four matches. This will be a match they desperately want to win after losing their last eight matches against Saracens.
They have made a slow start to the season and lost their opener at Sale Sharks by just a single point. Their only win so far was a home victory over bottom side Newcastle Falcons by a 14-point margin.
Harlequins led by eight points at Northampton Saints last weekend but ended up losing the match by four points. We go for Saracens to win this match with a -2.5 points handicap.
