The first round of matches at the 2025 Indian Premier League will conclude with the Gujarat Titans taking on the Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday afternoon. After back-to-back first places in the group stage in their first two seasons in the IPL, the Gujarat Titans experienced a major fall from grace last year, finishing with just five wins in their 14 games.
A major contributor to their downfall last season was poor bowling displays. However, they seem to have addressed that this time around, with Kagiso Rabada, Mohammad Siraj and Rashid Khan all set to feature with ball in hand.

However, the Kings made massive moves at the IPL auction, breaking the bank to bring in Shreyas Iyer, who was part of India’s Champions Trophy triumph and led KKR to the title last season.
PBKS also splashed the cash on Yuzvendra Chahal and Arshdeep Singh, and both players are expected to have big tournaments with ball in hand alongside South Africa’s Marco Jansen.
