Winning his second ATP Tour hard court tournament of the year would boost his chances of making it into the end-of-season ATP Tour Finals. The Bulgarian has had wins over qualifier Quentin Halys and unseeded Dominic Stricker without dropping a set. He's had one previous match against his Dutch opponent. That was in this year's hard court US Open and he won in straight sets losing only seven games.

Tallon Griekspoor is up to 35th in the live rankings. A win over Dimitrov will take him to 32nd and that would be good enough to be seeded at next year's Australian Open. The 28-year-old is in his second ATP Tour hard court semi-final of the year, the other in Rotterdam.

Griekspoor has had wins this week over unseeded Pavel Kotov, qualifier Jacob Fearnley and the seventh seed Casper Ruud without losing a set. We tip Dimitrov to get a straight sets win here.
