Grigor Dimitrov vs Lorenzo Sonego Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Rotterdam

Grigor Dimitrov is the sixth seed for the ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam. He takes on unseeded Lorenzo Sonego in the first round of this indoor hard court tournament. Up next for the victor is a match against Hungarian opposition, either Fabian Marozsan or Marton Fucsovics. Dimitrov has made a great start to the new year with him winning the Brisbane International last month. At the weekend he was beaten in the Marseille final by Ugo Humbert. He's up to 13th in the live rankings and only six players have earned more ranking points than him this calendar year. Ten of his 12 matches have been won this year.

Lorenzo Sonego is down at 48th in the live rankings and hasn't had anywhere near a good 2024 as his opponent. Only two of his six matches have been won this year.  Representing Italy in the United Cup, he lost both of his singles matches against Alexander Zverev and Adrian Mannarino winning just one set. In the Adelaide International, Sonego was beaten in round two by Sebastian Korda. The Australian Open followed and after a first round win over Daniel Evans, he took on second seed Carlos Alcaraz and lost in four sets, two of which went to a tie-break. Sonego is only 126th in the Live ATP Race. This is his first match against his opponent and we tip Dimitrov to win in straight sets.
