Grigor Dimitrov vs Marton Fucsovics Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Australian Open

The 13th seed Grigor Dimitrov looks well capable of going deep in this year's Australian Open. He takes on unseeded Marton Fucsovics for a place in the last 64 of this hard court Grand Slam tournament. Up next for the winner is a match against either Sebastian Ofner or Thanasi Kokkinakis, both of whom are unseeded. Dimitrov has made a good start to the new year and won the Brisbane International event, defeating Holger Rune in the final. The Bulgarian has a good record in this tournament and has reached at least the last eight on four occasion. In 2017 he went a step further and made it to the semi-finals. Last year saw him beaten in the third round. He reached round three in all of the Grand Slams in 2023 with his best being a fourth round appearance at both Roland Garros and Wimbledon.

Marton Fucsovics is ranked 69th which is well below his career high of 31st. He has only played one match this year and that was in the Brisbane International. He took the first set against Matteo Arnaldi but lost the next two. Fucsovics has made it to the fourth round of this tournament on two previous occasions but not since 2020. He last made it to the final of an ATP Tour event three years ago. Fucsovics does lead Dimitrov 2-1 in previous meetings but he lost the most recent one in 2021. Dimitrov is in good form and we back him to win this in straight sets.
