Grigor Dimitrov vs Jannik Sinner Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Beijing Open

Sixth seed Jannik Sinner takes on unseeded Grigor Dimitrov in the last eight of the China Open. The winner will face either top seed Carlos Alcaraz or seventh seeded Casper Ruud in the semi-finals of this outdoor hard court tournament in Beijing. Sinner is ranked seventh but a win over Dimitrov will take him up to sixth. In the Live WTA Race, the Italian is fourth and almos certain to make it into the ATP Tour finals. Sinner is playing his first tournament since losing in the last 16 of the US Open is now in his fifth quarter final in his last seven tournaments. That consistent run includes winning the ATP Masters event held in Toronto in August. This tournament has seen him beat Daniel Evans in three sets (losing the middle one) and then only dropping two games against Yoshihito Nishioka. 

Grigor Dimitrov is ranked 19th and will move up a place if reaching the last four in Beijing. The Bulgarian is bidding to get to this second successive semi-final. His last tournament saw him get to the last four in Chengdu, losing to Alexander Zverev for the third successive tournament. August saw him get to the semi-final in Washington so he has been playing well on hard courts. That was shown in the last round in Beijing when he beat third seeded Holger Rune in straight sets. That was a much better performance than in round one where he had to come from a set down to get past MacKenzie McDonald. Dimitrov is 1-1 in previous matches against Sinner. He won their first match in 2020 but that was on clay. The most recent meeting was on this surface in Miami five months ago with Sinner winning in straight sets.
