Grigor Dimitrov vs Holger Rune Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Wimbledon Championships

Sixth seeded Holger Rume faces the 21st seeded Grigor Dimitrov in the last 16 at Wimbledon. The winner will face either top seed Carlos Alcaraz or unseeded Matteo Berrettini in the quarter finals. Rune may be the much higher seed and world number six but before this year he'd never won a match or even a set at this grass court Grand Slam. The Norwegian made his Wimbledon debut last year and lost in the first round to Marcos Giron in straight sets. The two-time Roland Garros quarter finalist is far happier on clay but did make it to the last four at Queen's Club this year. He finally got his first win at Wimbledon and didn't drop a set in the first two rounds. He was tougher in round three though as he had to go to five sets to get past 31st seeded Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina.

Another tough assignment awaits him here as he takes on Grigor Dimitrov. The Bulgarian began this tournament ranked 24th but is up to 21st in the live rankings. A win over Rune will take him up to 19th. He's also not always had the best of times at Wimbledon with only one win in his last four appearances. However, he did reach the semi-finals here in 2014. He's in his second successive Grand Slam fourth round after also getting this far at Rolanf Garros. He also played the Queen's Club tournament and made it to the last eight where he was beaten by possible future opponent here, Carlos Alcaraz. He's had a good run at Wimbledon this year with two straight sets victories and then beating 10th seeded Frances Tiafoe in three sets and losing only seven games. This should be tougher but we go for Dimitrov to get the win.
