Grigor Dimitrov vs Casper Ruud Prediction & Betting Tips - San Diego, USA, Qualifying

Casper Ruud is the second seed for the San Diego Open. He's the world number ten and takes on unseeded Grigor Dimitrov in the semi-finals. The winner takes on either top seeded Andrey Rublev or Cameron Norrie in the final. Ruud is closing in on the ninth place held by Roger Federer, he'll overtake him soon as the Swiss legend is out injured. More important for Ruud is trying to clinch a place in the Tour Finals and a win here will take him up to ninth, above Hubert Hurkacz. Ruud has won four tournaments this year, all on clay. He is a force on hard courts though, with a recent last eights in Toronto and Cincinnati. He has beaten Andy Murray and ninth seeded Lorenzo Sonego so far this week with no sets dropped.

Grigor Dimitrov is the world number 29 and 38th in the ATP race. He's dropped ten places in the rankings this year and this is the first time he's got past the last 16 of a tournament since a clay court event held in May. He's made it to the last eight of four tournaments this year, the most noteworthy being the Australian Open. His good run in the San Diego Open has seen him get wins over Marton Fucsovics (in three sets), August Holmgren and then a three-set win over Aslan Karatsev.  Ruud is a tougher task and the second seed can get the win here.
