Green Bay Packers vs Kansas City Chiefs Prediction & Betting Tips - NFL

The 8-3 Chiefs head to the frozen tundra to take on the 5-6 Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. Games this far north this time of year are not easy for either team and it goes some way to explaining the remarkable record that the Packers have in the month of December under Matt LaFleur, a perfect 15-0 in the final month of the calendar year since he took over. Those were mostly with Aaron Rodgers of course so it will be interesting to see if Jordan Love is capable of continuing that record now that he has the ball solely in his hands. He has been picked 10 times in 11 games this season, a rate that he needs to bring down a bit. The Packers do well to spread the offence amongst their skill players so that they are not dependant on a single star performing. It is down to Love to get the ball out quickly as the Chiefs average 3.4 sacks per game, only the Dolphins and Ravens average more.

The Chiefs offence lacks the spark that we are so used to seeing. The 265 points that they have put up over the first 11 games of the season is a long way adrift of the better scoring teams in the league despite having Patrick Mahomes running the show and Travis Kelce well on track for another 1000 yard season. Kelce's 10.5 yards per catch is the lowest of his career, however, something that is also true of his quarterback. Mahomes is more accurate this season than in any other of his career, but that is down to the fact that his yards per attempt is the lowest of his life. Defensively, the Packers are stronger against the pass than the run, so the Chiefs might have to use plenty of Isiah Pacheco or delve deep into Andy Reid's bag of trick plays for the likes of the speedy Skyy Moore on an end-around to break through.
