Great Britain vs Spain Prediction & Betting Tips - Davis Cup
by Steve Ashfield | in Tennis Predictions
Both of these countries won their quarter finals 2-1 and now face off in the last four. The winners will take on either Russia or Canada in the final. Great Britain are the highest seeds left in the tournament but have it all to do to get past the hosts Spain. Rafael Nadal has been in top form for them this week. The world number one only dropped three games when beating Diego Schwartzman as Spain took on Argentina in the last eight. He is yet to drop a set in this tournament and another win looks likely in this semi-final whichever British player he faces. It’ll be interesting to see who Spain choose as their number two singles player. Both Agut and Busta have struggled at times.
Great Britain beat Germany 2-1 to reach the last four. Again, Andy Murray didn’t play for them and hasn’t featured since the group game against the Netherlands. Kyle Edmund has replaced him and has won both of his singles matches. Dan Evans hasn’t been so successful and has only won one of his three matches this week. With a Nadal victory likely, the other singles has to be won to force a deciding doubles match. Spain on home soil (though not clay) have to be fancied to win this match and reach the final.

Our Great Britain vs Spain Prediction
Spain are the hosts and come into this semi-final as strong favourites to reach the final. Rafael Nadal has been in top form this week as he looks to add this trophy to his world number one ranking. The Spanish doubles line-up has also been supplying a string of wins which makes their line-up even stronger. Great Britain's Dan Evans hasn't been playing so well and with Andy Murray not playing since the opening game, the odds are looking good for Spain to win this match.
