Virtus Bologna bid to make it four consecutive wins in the Euroleague. They are third in the table and host Olympiacos who are down in tenth place. The first 14 Euroleague fixtures of the new season have produced ten wins and four defeats. That puts them behind Barcelona on points difference and two wins adrift of leaders Real Madrid. Their last Euroleague defeat was on the last day of November when being beaten at Bayern Munich. Since then, wins have come at home against Barcelona and Maccabi Tel Aviv and most recently away at Baskonia. Home form for Virtus Bologna has seen them win seven of their eight Euroleague fixtures. They lost their opening home game to Zalgiris but a win over Olympiacos will be win number eight in a row for them. Virtus did lose at home to Venezia in Italy's Lega A where they are fourth in the table.

Olympiacos have a Euroleague record of 7-7 and that's left them in the final play-off position. Current form is disappointing though with three of their last four Euroleague games ending in defeat. Their most recent fixture saw them lose 63-55 at home to Valencia. The last EuroLeague win was a home victory over Bayern Munich who have lost their last two games in this league. Away form has seen them win two of their five games. Three of the last four on the road have been lost, the latest loss being by eight points at Monaco on November 30.
