Virtus Bologna will look to continue their solid form in the EuroLeague when they play host to Monaco on Friday evening. The hosts are 16-9 and on 32 points, while the visitors are 15-10 and two points below their opponents. The 2023-24 season has been excellent for Bologna so far. After finishing down in 14th last term, they currently trail second-placed Barcelona by just two points after 25 matches. Last time out, the hosts claimed an 88-84 victory over Partizan, bouncing back in style from a humbling 84-57 defeat to Barca at the end of January. In their domestic league, Virtus secured a dominant 100-61 win over Treviso last weekend, with Ante Zezic scoring 15 points with seven rebounds, while Marco Belinelli and Jordan Mickey added 14 points each. That result took them to 28 points in Lega Basket Serie A, just two points behind current league leaders Brescia. The hosts won the reverse fixture 83-59 back in October. 

Meanwhile, Monaco heads into this match as one of three sides, along with Panathinaikos and Fenerbahce, on 30 points after 25 matches. They come into this one on a five-match winning streak in this competition, which included an 85-70 win over Partizan and a 76-69 victory over Fenerbahce in their last two.  That was followed by a loss to Bourg-en-Bresse and an 89-71 win over Lyon in the LNB Pro A, where Mike James led the team with 17 points, five assists and four rebounds, while Elie Okobo added 14 points, seven assists and three rebounds. That result saw them maintain top spot in their domestic league, now boasting a record of 20-2, three wins ahead of their closest challengers. Monaco have split their last ten away games in all competitions five apiece but are the marginal favourites in this match, according to the bookmakers.
