Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns Prediction & Betting Tips - NBA
by Joseph King | in NBA Predictions
A battle between two fallen giants of the Western Conference is set to tip off on Tuesday night when the Golden State Warriors look to bounce back from a two game losing streak when they host the Phoenix Suns at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Golden State suffered two very surprising defeats against Eastern Conference minnows Detroit and Orlando after previously having ripped off six straight victories in front of the home crowd. The Warriors have been stellar at the Chase Center this season, racking up 17 wins from their 21 outings which even includes their recent two game slide. There isn’t a home vs away discrepancy quite like Golden State’s in the NBA as the Dubs have won only three of their 19 away trips. The defending champions are still looking for that breakout winning streak to propel them in the standings as they toil along at .500 with a record of 20 wins and 20 losses, placing them sixth in the conference.
The Suns come into this game looking to get back to .500 as they have, similarly to the Warriors, struggled for consistency as we approach the halfway mark of the season. It’s a surprising situation that both teams find themselves in as these two clubs were the toast of the Western Conference last season, finishing as the first seed (Phoenix) and the third seed (Golden State). The Suns have been on an abysmal stretch of results and are now facing a potential seven game losing streak if they are unable to overcome the Warriors in San Francisco. The ballclub has only managed one victory from their last 10 games which has tanked their record down to 20 wins and 21 losses as they barely cling on to the eighth seed.
Injuries have been the main culprit for both of these team’s struggles this season although one team looks to be regaining their fitness while the other could see their bad form continue on. Two-time MVP and Warriors’ talisman Steph Curry could be in line to return from his lengthy injury layoff. The 34-year-old has missed the last 11 games for his team and the Dubs will be relieved to get the sharpshooter back in the squad, especially with the other member of the “Splash Brothers” Klay Thompson, recently suffering a knock of his own. Thompson missed the recent loss against Orlando but is listed as probable for this one. On the other side, Phoenix are dealing with an injury crisis with both Devin Booker and Chris Paul. Paul missed out in the Suns previous game against the Cavs while Booker is set for a month on the sidelines with a groin strain.

Our Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns Prediction
With how banged up the Suns are at the moment it’s simply not possible to back them, especially given their recent run of form. Things likely won’t turn around anytime soon as they will now have to contend with one of the league’s best home teams that could be returning some key players. Phoenix’s offense has dropped off hard in Booker’s absence and it’s difficult to envision how they are able to keep pace with the sharpshooting Warriors. Back the hosts to pull away in this one and record a comfortable victory. Our Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns prediction: Warriors -11
