Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves Prediction & Betting Tips - NBA
by Joseph King | in NBA Predictions
The NBA In-Season Tournament continues with the Golden State Warriors hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves for the second game in the West: Group C. The Warriors are sitting third in the group after winning their first NBA Cup game 141-139 over the OKC Thunder. In the Western Conference, the Dubs are seventh with a 6-5 record. The 2021/22 NBA champions are in desperate need of a victory here as they have dropped their last three straight and four of their last five overall. Golden State’s most recent outing was a 116-110 home defeat to the Timberwolves who they last faced on Sunday. They’ll have a chance at revenge here as they get another crack at this upstart Twolves team at the Chase Center for the second time in the last three days. The Warriors might be without Steph Curry for this matchup which would be a devastating loss.
The Timberwolves are playing some of the best basketball in the NBA and possess the second-best winning streak at the moment with six straight victories. They performed excellently in their 116-110 win over the Warriors on Sunday, holding them to 38.5% shooting from the field and 27.9% from three-point range. Minnesota got their first In-Season Tournament win when they ran out 117-110 winners over the San Antonio Spurs last Friday. The result puts them top of the West Group C standings over the Kings thanks to their +7 points differential and superior points scored mark. During this current six game winning streak the TWolves have also managed wins over the Celtics and Nuggets, proving that this team is a legit contender. Defense has been the driving force for their success as Minnesota ranks first in the NBA in opponent points allowed at just 103.1.
