The Golden State Warriors will be at home to welcome the Los Angeles Lakers for their next NBA regular season game. They come into the match sitting 12th in the Western Conference, two games behind ninth-placed Los Angeles. The Warriors are coming off a 134-133 defeat at home to the Kings. Their third defeat in the last four games was also their 23rd of the campaign and left them four games below .500. Golden State is finding it hard to claw its way into the playoff picture. Steve Kerr’s men, though they remain an above-average offensive team, are struggling in defence. The 118.4 points they are allowing has them ranked 22nd in this regard. Gary Payton II, one of their better defenders will remain sidelined and so will Chris Paul and Moses Moody.

Though they are struggling, the Lakers are faring much better than the Warriors. Darvin Ham’s men have so far compiled a 23-23 record with 17 of their wins coming in the Western Conference. LA scored its highest points tally so far this season last time out. In their last match at home before beginning a six-game road trip, the Lakers were 141-132 winners over the Bulls. Seven players scored in double figures with four scoring at least 20. LA has dominated this matchup with Golden State in recent seasons and since 2022 has won seven of 10 meetings. Cam Reddish and Gabe Vincent remain sidelined while LeBron James and Anthony Davis are questionable. LA is averaging 115.0 points when away from home.
