Golden State Warriors vs Los Angeles Lakers Prediction & Betting Tips - NBA
by Joseph King | in NBA Predictions
The Golden State Warriors host the Los Angeles Lakers at the Chase Center for this NBA Saturday night California matchup. The new look Lakers will see if their deadline day trades can boost the team up into a playoff spot as they currently sit 13th in the Western Conference with 25 wins and 31 losses. LA dealt Russell Westbrook and draft picks in exchange for D’Angelo Russell, who joins back up with the team that drafted him #2 overall in 2015, and Malik Beasley. Russell and Beasley will bring some much needed three-point range to the Lakers lineup with Russell shooting 39% from three this season and Beasely a career 38% shooter from range. The Lakers have lost their last three consecutive games following their most recent 115-106 loss to the Bucks. They have only managed to win 12 of their 29 away games this season and now have to deal with one of the best home teams in the NBA.
The Warriors come into this matchup after going through some trade deadline drama of their own as they look to make a late surge up the Western Conference standings. Golden State attempted to deal former #2 overall pick James Wiseman to the Pistons in exchange for four second round draft picks, in which they would deal those picks to the Trail Blazers in order to bring back Gary Payton II after the guard left in the summer. However, a failed medical exam puts the trade in risk as it appears that Payton will have to miss up to three months if the Warriors still decide to go through with the deal. Golden State sits seventh in the West with a record of 28-27 following their most recent 125-122 away loss to the previously mentioned Blazers. Golden State returns to the Chase Center where they have amassed 21 wins from 27 games.

Our Golden State Warriors vs Los Angeles Lakers Prediction
The Warriors will be without star Stephen Curry for this game which of course is a huge miss and explains why the Dubs aren’t bigger favorites. However, they will still be able to call upon Klay Thompson, who is coming off a 42 point performance against the Thunder and a 31 point outing against the Blazers, and Jordan Poole who put up 38 points in the last game. Meanwhile, recently crowned NBA leading scorer LeBron James is listed as questionable for this one but is likely to suit up after likely taking off the game immediately following his record-breaking feats for some much deserved rest. Golden State’s superb home record should be enough to make up for the absence of the two-time MVP. Our Golden State Warriors vs LA Lakers prediction: Warriors -2
