Goffin vs Raonic Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Indian Wells
by | in ATP Indian Wells Predictions
Milos Raonic has certainly had a good start to his 2016 season. In the Australian Open he made it through to the semi-finals before losing a five-set thriller to Andy Murray where injury hampered him in the deciding set. He's made good progress in this tournament and hasn't lost a set so far with defeated opponents including Gael Monfils and Thomas Berdych. David Goffin has also had some good results so far this year including winning both his matches in the Davis Cup recently. At Indian Wells he struggled a bit in the first two rounds winning them both in three sets after losing the first. His big win was over Stan Wawrinka in the last sixteen, another three-setter that went all the way to a final set tiebreaker. He had an easier win in the quarter finals with a straight sets win over Marin Cilic but again was taken to a tiebreak in the first set. Head to head it's 1-1 between these two players but the last meeting was a three-set win for Goffin two years ago. Before that Raonic won in the 2011 Australian Open winning the first set before the Belgian retired hurt. I think Raonic is in the better form in this tournament, Goffin seems to get off to a slowish start and might not be able to recover this time.
