Germany vs Egypt Prediction & Betting Tips - Handball World Championship

Germany were beaten by France in the quarter finals of the 2023 Men's World Handball Championships. There's still the chance to finish fifth in the rankings which would be a big improvement on their 12th place achieved in the last world championships held two years ago. They face Egypt with the winners taking on either Norway or Hungary in the fifth and sixth place play-off. As for the losers, they go into the seventh and eighth place play-off against the side losing the other match in these play-offs. Germany won their first five matches in this tournament before losing their final main round group match against Norway. That took them into a quarter final against France and another defeat was suffered as the Germans were beaten 35-28. It was the second half that was their undoing as the match was level at the break. 

Egypt's best ever finish in the world championships was a fourth place achieved in 2001. They hosted the 2021 championships but could only finish in seventh place. A win over Germany will see them beat that performance of two years ago.  They also come into this match having lost their last two. The Egyptias were in with a chance of winning Group IV of the main round but lost their final game to world champions Denmark. The last eight saw them take on Sweden and the writing was on the wall as they lost the first half 14-9. They couldn't claw back that deficit and ended up losing 26-22. Three of their last eight matches have been lost and another one looks on the way here.
