The Puerto Vallarta Open is set to get underway this week, and in the first round of the tournament, we will see Gastao Elias take on Facundo Mena for the first time in their careers. Mena is currently ranked number 201 in the world, down from 176th, where he started the year, and well below his all-time best of 127th. Following that quarter-final appearance, the Portuguese improved his record to 3-4 in 2023 and showed enough improvement to feel that he should win this match over the higher-seeded Argentine.
