Gael Monfils vs Ugo Humbert Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Dubai Open

We have an all-French clash in the first round of the Dubai Tennis Championships. Fifth seed Ugo Humbert takes on Gael Monfils who was granted a wild card to play in this tournament. The winner will have a second round match against either Denis Shapovalov or Andy Murray. Humbert is currently a career high 18th in the live rankings and in the same position in the Live ATP Race. He's already won one tournament this year being successful in the indoor hard court tournament played in Marseille. This is also a hard court tournament but being played outdoors. Last week he made it to the last eight in Doha.That took his record for the year to 8-3. He's won two of his previous three matches against his French compatriot. The most recent match was won by Monfils in Doha last week.

Gael Monfils is up to 54th in the live rankings and reached the semi-finals in Doha. He was beaten by Jakub Mensik who was less than half his age and eventually lost to Karen Khachanov in the final. Monfils is 37-years old now but as Humbert learned last week can still be a major danger to his opponents. That was the first time he has got past the second round of a tournament this year and getting impressive results two weeks in a row might be a bit of an ask now. Humbert will be out for revenge and we tip him to get it in this match.
