Francisco Cerundolo vs Taylor Fritz Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP French Open

Taylor Fritz will meet Francisco Cerundolo in one of the top games on Saturday at the French Open. Cerundolo, seeded 23rd, got the pass to this third round match after defeating lucky loser Yannick Hanfmann. He has been in good form on clay where 15 of his overall 22 wins have come. This form has seen him reach his first final of the season – in Lyon, before coming to Roland Garros. He has carried that momentum with him and is now playing in the third round for the first time here. Before this season, the Argentine had never won a main draw match at the French Open. He has won two so far, including one in straight sets to get to this round. That win has moved him up to 21st place in the live ranking which is a new career high for him.

Fritz, ranked eighth in the ATP, will seek to advance to the second week of competition for the first time here. The American has participated at the French Open six times before this season and has only once before advanced to the third round. He has settled well on clay so far and will hope this continues to prolong his stay here. Fritz has won 31 of the 42 matches he has played so far with 11 of those victories coming on clay. His highlight of the season however came on hard court when he won the Delray Beach Open in February. He has played three semifinals on clay though, one including in Monte-Carlo. Fritz defeated crowd favourite Arthur Rinderknech in four sets to advance to this round. If he advances here, we will play either sixth seed Holger Rune or qualifier Genaro Alberto Olivieri next.
