Francisco Cerundolo will be hope to keep his current winning streak when he takes on Jiri Lehecka on Thursday at Wimbledon. Cerundolo, seeded 18th, is currently on a five-match winning run. This is the longest he has gone all season without defeat. He arrived at the All England Club after winning the title at Eastbourne. That was the second tour title of his career and the first on grass. He carried that momentum to win his first main draw match here. The Argentine came back from a set down to defeat Nuno Borges 3-1. This was the sixth win on grass and the 28th victory for the season for Cerundolo. His form this season has allowed him to move into the ATP top 20 where he is currently ranked 19th.

Jiri Lehecka also won his first main draw match at Wimbledon by defeating the wildcard Sebastian Ofner 3-0 in the first round. The Czech number one isn’t a strong performer on grass. But he has significantly improved this season where three of his career total wins have come. The win over Ofner was his 24th of a topsy-turvy campaign where he has been on the losing end 17 times. Lehecka is currently up two places to 35th in the live ranking which is a career-high placing for him. The winner of this second-round tie will play the winner of the match between Tommy Paul and Milos Raonic next.
