Francisco Cerundolo vs Andrey Rublev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Bastad Open

Francisco Cerundolo is on course to defend his Swedish Open title and will on Saturday battle second seed Andrey Rublev. The winner of this semifinal tie will play top seed Casper Ruud or third seed Lorenzo Musetti in the final. Fourth seed Cerundolo was victorious in the 2022 edition, winning his first tour title. This time the road to the final seems a bit more difficult. However, going by how he has performed so far, he should be confident of winning again. Cerundolo is yet to drop a set in Bastad and has won his two rounds within 90 minutes. He defeated his countryman Federico Coria by the loss of six games in the last round. The Argentine is having his best season yet in the tour and has won 30 of the 47 matches he has played. Eighteen of those victories have come on clay though his only title thus far has been on grass. He is currently ranked 21st in the live ranking.

World number seven Andrey Rublev was eliminated in this very round in what was his debut here last season. Having advanced to four finals already in 2023, he will be confident of winning here despite trailing in head-to-head encounters with Cerundolo. Rublev lost his only previous encounter with Cerundolo last season in Hamburg. The Russian has been one of the in-form players in the ATP and has registered a record of 37 wins and 14 losses. Sixteen of those victories have come on clay, where he has played two finals, winning one. Just like Cerundolo, Rublev is yet to relinquish a set in Bastad. He defeated fifth seed Alexander Zverev by the loss of five games in the quarterfinals.
