Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is finally set to return to MMA with his first fight for the PFL. His last MMA bout was back in 2022 when he beat Ciryl Gane.
The Cameroonian-born fighter has a professional record of 17-3, made up of 12 wins by KO/TKO, four victories by way of submission and one on judges decision.
While the 38-year-old possesses a fairly simple fighting style, he is extremely effective due to his reach, solid low kicks and thunderous power.
Meanwhile, Renan Ferreira enters this contest with a pro record of 13-3-0, 3 NC (7-1 in PFL), and became the PFL’s 2023 heavyweight tournament winner after beating Ryan Bader.
The 34-year-old has notched up 11 of his 13 career wins (84%) by KO/TKO, while his other two victories were split with one submission and one decision.
The Brazilian is a big-bodied heavyweight, even more so than Ngannou, but he is deceptively athletic for his size and has the power to knock out pretty much anyone in a single blow.
