Frances Tiafoe vs Jason Kubler Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Indian Wells

14th seeded Frances Tiafoe takes on unseeded Australian Jason Kubler in the Indian Wells third round. Tiafoe has reached the third round at Indian Wells for the past two years but is yet to get to the fourth round. If the American can beat Kubler, he'll face either qualifier Alejandro Tabilo or unseeded Jordan Thompson who beat Stefanos Tsitsipas in round two. Tiafoe began this tournament in 16th place, two below his career high ranking achieved last month. The American began the year by winning all five of his singles matches for the US as they won the United Cup. He got to the third round of the Australian Open but made it into the last eight in both Dallas and Acapulco. The second round of this tournament saw him get a straight sets win over Marcos Giron, losing just four games. 

Jason Kubler is up to a career high 69th in the live rankings. His previous best was 71st achieved last month. He beat Lorenzo Songeo in the first round of this Indian Wells tournament. Round two saw him up against 21st seeded Grigor Dimitrov and he lost the first set 6-2. The second was won by Kubler on a tie-break and Dimitrov retired injured when 3-0 down in the final set. Kubler has only got to one quarter final this year and that was on the Challenger Tour. The Australian's most recent tournament was in Doha when losing in round two to Felix Auger-Aliassime after winning the first set. He's had one previous match against Tiafoe and that was in last year's US Open. Tiafoe won that five-setter in straight matches but two went to a tie-break. Back Tiafoe to get another win over Kubler.
